General Questions

Q. Who is My Church Central and what are you all about?
A. Well My Church Central is a Church Website Designing Company that deals with the development and hosting of Church Websites. Besides being a business, we are heavily active in our church and know the reality of trying to find top quality media/website services to fit a restrictive budget.

 

Q. Why should we choose your company?
A. We find that alot of churches have a difficult time visualizing what they want their website to look like and in many cases have a difficult time explaining it as well. What we have done is create an assortment of design frames that you can look at and select the design you want for your website. These designs are custom made by My Church Central and cannot be found anywhere else. You can ask for any changes to be made to the design frames to give your website its own signature. Our designs are created for beauty as well as functionality.

 

Q. Do I need to sign any contracts?
A. Absolutely not! If you paid for a full year and decide to leave you will get a refund for the unused portion.

 

Q. Are you a Christian company?
A. Yes! We are a group of believers who are active in our respective churches. We believe in spreading the gospel and are using our talents to do just that.

 

Q. How long will it take to have my website up and running?
A. After you have filled out our content form and made the neccessary payments it will take approximately 21 days to have your site online.

 

Q. How do I get started?
A. Easy!
1. Fill out the Content Form on our Get Started page
2. Choose a Design on our design page
3. Pick the package that fits your church needs

* Your billing period does not begin until your website is completed.

 

Q. Do we need to send you pictures for the website or do you provide them?
A. We handle most of the graphics work with our own pictures. This is because the graphics need to be a certain quality in order to show well on the websites. However, if you have some pictures that need to be on the site (i.e. Church Logo, picture of Pastor) please send us the best quality pictures you have. If we feel that the quality is not good we will contact you and advise you to obtain better resolution pictures.

 

Q. Do we have to host with you or can we use our current hosting company?
A. Our servers will have to be used in order for optimal control over the content management system. This will allow us to troubleshoot any and all issues that may occur as well as update security and features within the website.

 

Q. What if we already have a domain name?
A. After we have created your website we will then instruct you on how to transfer your domain over to your new hosting account with us.

 

Q. We do not have a domain name yet, how do we get one?
A. You can have us register your domain for you (for $10 which covers the charge for a new domain name) or you can go to yahoo.com, godaddy.com or networksolutions.com.

Pricing Questions

Q. What is the design and implementation fee for?
A. This is a one time fee that covers:

Usage of our Custom Design (All designs are done in Photoshop)
Uploading all files and written content
Service of setting up server space and and database tables for website
Service of programming HTML/CSS codes for website
Service of embedding Flash content in website

 

Q. What does the maintenance fee cover?
A. This covers the hosting and the use of our content management system. This also covers any and all maintenance services and security updates. Any service that requires the addition of text or graphics is covered in the monthly fee as well.

 

Q. Can I upgrade to a different package?
A. Yes. Once you have made the request then we adjust your website to meet the specifications of that package and bill you the difference in the setup/design fee. Then we will adjust the monthly charge starting the following month. If you have paid for the year already then we will bill you the difference.

 

Q. Are any refunds offered?
A. If within 30 days you are not happy with your website you will be refunded the monthly (Maintenance) fee. If you decide to leave after the first 30 day period you will be refunded any of the unused monthly fees (if you paid annually).

As for the Design and setup fee, that is not refundable after you have received your website. We will be working with you during the designing phase to make sure the site meets your expectations, so you will not receive a website until you are happy with it. You also have to keep in mind that we keep our costs low and there are people out there who may try to take advantage of us and may try to see how our content management system works before asking for a refund. We make every effort to ensure our customer's happiness and will work with you to make sure you understand the controls of how everything works.

 

Q. Why are your costs lower than your competitors?
A. Well first and formost we are a Christian based business and we handle our business fairly and justly. We are not profit driven like other companies who want to make as much money off of you as possible. It is a lot of work, but we do not take on more clients than we can deal with and we make sure our clients are happy with their websites. We have been blessed with the facilities in which to operate and see no need to over price our work.

Support Questions

Q. Do I have to pay extra for support?
A. No. Support comes with the package. Now a days it is not good to just obtain a website, you also need someone to maintain the site for you and thats what we do. Any questions or concerns you have you can ask us and there are no extra charges.

 

Q. What if I need extra pages for my website
A. That is not a problem. All of our websites will give you an unlimited amount of pages (or as many pages as your storage space can hold). Just make the request for an extra page along with the title of the page and it will be done with no extra charge.

 

Q. How can I contact you for support?
A. You can contact us either by phone, email or by our support page. If for any reason you cannot get us by phone be sure and leave a message and we will get right back with you. We take pride in our support and never keep our customers waiting. All clients that leave a message or sends in an email will get a response back that very day. Like I said before, we do not and will not take on more customers than we can handle so everyone will be treated with high priority with no congestion.
